Loyal scans loyalty cards, imports barcodes from photos, supports manual entry, and creates Apple Wallet passes.

If a barcode does not scan, try a sharper image with the whole barcode in frame, or use manual entry.

Deleting the app deletes cards stored in Loyal. Cards already added to Apple Wallet can be removed from the Wallet app.

What We Collect

Nothing.

Where Your Cards Live

Your card names, numbers, and barcodes are stored in an encrypted database on your device, protected by your device passcode like the rest of your data. Loyal has no accounts, no cloud storage, and no sync service. Deleting the app deletes your cards.

The Camera

Camera frames are analysed on-device by Apple's frameworks to find barcodes. They are never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Photos

When you import a card from a photo, you pick the image through Apple's photo picker. Loyal never gets access to the rest of your library. The image is analysed on-device and discarded.

Apple Wallet

When you tap "Add to Apple Wallet", the pass is built on your device. One network request is made to the pass-signing service containing only anonymous file checksums. It does not include card names, card numbers, or barcodes.

Analytics, Ads, Tracking

None. Loyal contains no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, and no third-party code that phones home.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update ships in an app release with release notes saying so.
